Insights from my first two days

These days have been very busy and exciting for us all. We have learnt a lot from our teachers as well as from our TEA fellows.
We were given two books and we are already going into them. They are about Leadership and pedagogy.

Yesterday, in particular, we had a leadership workshop with Dr Woods. Throughout the workshop we reflected upon the idea of "leading in a world of change" and the challenges that lies beneath that idea. Then, in the afternoon we had another workshop, but on pedagogy and the challenges that learners of ESL have to face. We played some games, which I'll try to implement once I return home,  and shared some wonderful ideas on the topic.

Today  morning we had a great class with Supriya. We  did a test in order to have a better understanding of what kind of persons we are. We recognized aspects of our personality in order to be conscious of our preferences as teachers and how that can influence our teaching practice as well as the way we approach to our students in the classroom.
And in the afternoon, we had the "Teaching with technology" class with Dr. Norton and Dr. Hathaway. There, we created our id in order to have access to the GMU wifi network and a blog in which we'll post comments and reflections upon our staying as students at GMU.
